An official contributor for Carousel Party Magazine

After the launch of the first edition of Carousel Party Magazine, the editor Suzanne Olvey of Fanciful Events contacted me asking if I would like to join the team as a regular contributor. I was ecstatic about the idea but I wanted to offer something a little different that actual party photo shoots. Sure I could of gone that route, but I felt that the magazine had enough of talented contributors in that area. What I suggested though, was to create unique C’est La Fête themes specifically for the magazine according to the theme of the edition. They loved the idea of seeing where a party theme starts. From the inspiration to where you can purchase the items to make that vision a reality. So I present you my two themes.

Hot Cocoa & Mellows

Seeing I am in Canada, I wanted to bring the winter snow down to the hotter areas with a hot cocoa and marshmallow theme. This would be perfect for colder days and setting up a hot cocoa station would be a different approach to the typical drink station. Let them choose their toppings ; chocolate shred, peppermint, powdered cocao and even DIY chocolate spoons for even more chocolate. Don’t forget to take out your wool covers and mittens – baby its cold outside.

Vintage Pastels

I decided to design a theme that was reminiscent of christmas when I was a kid. I remember my mom having the fake tree with layers and layers of fake snow and tinsel, with pastel glass ornaments. I miss those times and I actually wish I kept those ornaments… so I decided that a vintage pastel holiday theme would probably touch more people born in the 80s
